How is Pilates different fRom yoga?
Pilates and Yoga have some similar movements, but this is focused on building core strength. It's a full-body practice designed to make sure that the right muscles are doing the right work.
|
Do I need special equipment to do Pilates?
No, Pilates mat work is the foundation to all of the Pilates exercises and for that you just need yourself, your mind and a mat (perhaps some water nearby as well).
|
I have an injury, can I still do Pilates?
Depends on the injury. As long as your doctor has given you the green light to exercise, Pilates is the way to go. You can also reach out to me directly to talk more about it if you have more questions.
|
Will Pilates help me lose weight?
Pilates focuses on proper alignment, controlled movements and having a focused mind. It's primary focus is not weight loss, but it can change your shape, slimming and toning your body. You can use it as a tool to help you lose weight because it does build strength and partners well with a weekly cardio routine.

What should I do if I've never done Pilates before ?

How do online classes work?
Once you have become a member you can choose the workout that sounds good to you on a particular day - there are many to choose from. You can also request workouts that focus on specific muscle groups and goals.
|
Can I do Pilates while I'm pregnant?
Yes, but you need to first check with your doctor and make sure you have the green light to start exercising. From there, you'd want to choose a Prenatal class.
|
How often do I need to do Pilates to see results?
Depends on the results you are looking for, but everyone is different. While there is no magic number, for me I do Pilates 3 to 4 times a week. The more often you practice and the more consistent you are, the closer you'll get to your results.
